With the passing of the caravan of a thousand people in front of the eyes of a thousand people of Qahdarijan, Isfahan, this city especially keeps the mourning of the Ashura event awake. This silent caravan is formed by very different characters with different covers and make-up. Each person is reminiscent of one of Hussein’s soldiers and his enemies.
All faces are documented photographed and recorded. Makeup is traditional, and is celebrated every year by people who set up reeds.
